About Us

The Club is a non-profit organization which operates under the Societies Act of British Columbia. PG Gymnastics operates under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board meets monthly to discuss the administrative business of the club and set administrative policies.

The Board hires a staff of professional coaches who coordinate, implement, and administer the sport of gymnastics at the club. The Board represents the parents of the club and we encourage your participation and input. Please contact any board member if there is something that interests you or perhaps where you have some expertise.

Club History

Prior to us being the Prince George Gymnastics Club there were two Gymnastics Clubs in Prince George; the PG School of Artistic Gymnastics, located on Tomlin Road, and Gympix, located at the Connaught Youth Centre. These two clubs amalgamated in August 1988 and the Prince George Gymnastics Club was born, the Club remained on Tomlin Road.  In 1989 the newly formed Club had close to 300 gymnasts.  As of 2018 we have over 1300 enrolled in our Recreation program and 137 enrolled in our Competitive programs.  In the Spring of '94 the PG Gymnastics club moved to it's current location of the Exhibition Sports Centre.  The Exhibition Sports Centre is rented from the City of Prince George and has 16,000 square feet of space for the Gymnastics Club.
