Our Active Start Programs use a variety of music, games and motivating stimuli to teach the whole child.
This class is designed to give all children ages 1-5 with behavioural, communication and/or physical disability a safe and fun environment. With small class sizes (4:1 ratio) and a quiet gym this is the perfect place for children to explore gymnastics. During this 45 minute class the coach will lead the child through a variety of physical activities targeted to work on coordination, balance, strength and both gross and fine motor skills. An adult (parent, support worker, BI) must be willing to assist the child during the full class.
This program will introduce you and your little one to a multi-movement program through the use of music, games and activities. Children begin to learn balance, social skills, co-ordination and how to participate in a structured program as well as learning about taking turns and sharing.
This program will introduce you and your little one to a multi-movement program through the use of music, games and activities. Children learn to follow a circuit and stay with their class as well as taking turns and sharing. The goal is to prepare children for KinderGym 3.
This program will focus on promoting social skills, confidence as well as gross and fine motor skills. Children turning 3 may participate in the Parent & Tot 2 class if they are not ready to participate on their own.
This program will begin to add more traditional gymnastics skills while focusing on enhancing fundamental movement, safe landing skills and social skills. Children will continue focusing on social skills, confidence and coordination.
This class for children in Kindergarten will introduce your child to the CANGYM badge program with a focus on developmental movement patterns with Active Start themes, games and music.
