The goal of the Prince George Gymnastics Club ACTIVE-START Program is to develop your child’s coordination, gross motor skills, social skills and creativity through play, songs, games, and activities. Our programs are designed to promote independence, positive self-esteem and a healthy lifestyle.
Active Start Age 12-24 months (1-2 years)
Active Start Age 24-40 months (2- 3 years 4 months)
Active Start Age 40-60 months (3 years 4 months - 5 years)
Active Start Weekly Free Play hours are supervised unstructured time in the Gymnastics Facility. This time is a great opportunity for children to explore the wide variety of equipment and engage in physical activity.
These times are open to children ages 1-4. All children must be accompanied by an adult and must remain within arms length of their accompanying adult at all times. All Participants must be registered/insured with Gymnastics BC. The cost is $17.50 per class.
Things to Know:
Children must be under direct supervision of accompanying adult at all times to ensure safety and that they are taking turns.
Adults are not welcome to use the equipment, they are there to assist their children.
All non members must pay the Gymnastics B.C. casual insurance of $25.00 and enroll online the before 2 pm day before they participate.
Sign up for each week will open Thursday or Friday of the week before. If there is nothing listed on the registration page it means there is no class that week. If there are not enough kids registered the day before, the class will be cancelled. If you attend more than 8 times you will need to upgrade to the full insurance for an additional $40.00.
Parent participation is required for all kids under 3 years. All accompanying adults must sign a waiver before coming onto the floor.
What to Wear:
Children should dress in loose comfortable clothing/athletic wear - no zippers, buttons or snaps.
Bare feet only - prevents slipping
Long hair pulled back, no dangling jewellery.
Our Fall session will run from September 22-December 21
Registration for our fall classes will open on the following dates: Active Start (Ages 1-4) - Tues, Sept 9 at 9 am
Active Start age is determined as of September 1, 2025 for the Fall session.
