Interclub/Xcel

The Interclub/Xcel program provides children with the opportunity to put their gym skills into Artistic Gymnastic routines as well as continue to work through the CANGYM program.

• Minimum age requirement is 7 years as of December 31
• Completion of Burgundy badge
• Program runs September to end of June
• Participate in two PG events & one out-of-town event

This program is not available for online registration. If your child is interested in Interclub/Xcel, an email will be sent out to all current members of Prince George Gymnastics when auditions are held (usually in June).

Fees

A $208.00 annual membership fee for Xcel and a $81.00 annual membership fee for Interclub is non-refundable. This fee is not pro-rated if you join later in the gym season. Gymnastics BC insurance covers gymnast September 1 to August 31.  Training fees are paid monthly.

Communication

All communication is done via email.

Floor Routines

• Your child’s coach will discuss routine requirements and arrange a time to meet with a choreographer/coach. Cost is $25 for a floor routine payable to the choreographer/coach.
• You may provide music or we have someone who will cut music for $25 per routine, payable to person cutting the music.
• If your child requires additional work on a routine, you may book a private lesson $35/hour with your coach. Please pay for private lessons at the office.

Meets

Interclub gymnasts are required to participate in 3 INTERCLUB MEETS. You will receive a meet notice in your file folder with information about cost, time, and volunteer jobs. Since the Interclub meets are for Interclub gymnasts, we will require your help in order to make these events run smoothly. Meets provide gymnasts with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills that they have incorporated into routines. At Interclub meets, participants are not ranked, all receive a participation award.

Volunteer and Fundraising

The Prince George Gymnastics Club is a non-profit organization with a volunteer Board of Directors. The club relies on fundraising and volunteers to keep our operating costs down. Each family is required to fulfil volunteer hours as well as fundraising income. Your help keeps the club running and keeps your fees down. We cannot stress enough how much we need and appreciate our volunteers.
